Osawa Eriko is installed as head of the First Investigative Division’s newly established Special Crimes Unit upon her return from America. Her subordinates are nothing but trouble makers within the police force who are capable but have behavioural and personality problems. Then one day, a corpse with a charred upper torso is found within the jurisdiction of their unit. The investigation begins but her subordinates are a bunch of misfits and have no solidarity. Because alcohol with close to 90% alcoholic content is found at the scene, it is thought that it resulted from the combustion of that alcohol.
