The story of kotetsushin Jeeg takes place flfty years after the original and features a new cast of characters - primary the new main character Kenji Kusanagi (voiced by Daisuke Ono), a high school student who becomes Kotetsushin Jeeg to flight the sudden reappearance of "Haniwa Genjin" ("Phantom Gods," or clay robots) from the Yamatai Kingdom ruled by Queen Himika. Other characters include Tsubaki Tamashiro (granddaughter of Miwa uzuki; voiced by kana Ueda) nd Kyo Misumi (voiced by susumu Chiba). New versions of the Build Base (commanded by Senjiro Shiba, father of the original Jeeg, hiroshi Shiba) and Big Shooter will also appear.
